For the first time St. John’s will participate in The Salvation Army “Angel Tree”. Help The Salvation Army love others beyond all else this Christmas by supporting The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program.
The Salvation Army and Walmart have collaborated to meet human needs for more than 40 years, and we are partnering to remind others to love beyond all else this Christmas through the Angel Tree program at Walmart stores across the nation. Recognizing that every child deserves to feel the joy of Christmas, The Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys to more than one million children in need each year. Once a child is accepted as an Angel, donors like you can shop for their Christmas wish list. Simply pick a tag off the Angel Tree located inside your local Walmart store or follow the instructions below to shop online using Walmart’s Spark Good Registry. Once the gifts are received, The Salvation Army will distribute them to families in need for Christmas morning.
Shopping Online:
- Enter your zip code to search for your local Salvation Army unit.
- Add gifts you would like to purchase for Children in your community to your local Walmart shopping cart.
- Choose delivery and Walmart will ship the items directly to your local Salvation Army.
- If you prefer, you can also drop items off at a Walmart collection point which can be found in participating Walmart stores starting November 18th or you can hand-deliver them to your local Salvation Army.
The Angel Tree will be located in the East Room and will begin Sunday November 5th and close Sunday December 17th.
