What To Expect

We would love to have you join us, however we know there can be questions or concerns when visiting a church for the first time. Here’s a list of things you might be curious about when visiting St. John’s.

  • Be comfortable
    • We want you to feel comfortable joining us for worship. Come as you are!
  • You won’t be singled out
    • As a visitor, you won’t be singled out or asked to do anything you don’t want to. We encourage you to introduce yourself to us. We’d love to meet you! There are opportunities for fellowship both before and after worship.
  • Church is for children AND adults
    • Children are always welcome in worship at St. John’s. Busy bags and a play area are available should young ones need a break.
  • Expect…the expected.
    • There will be singing throughout the service
    • We’ll read passages from the bible
    • Our Pastor will teach on the readings
    • There will be times of reflection and prayer
    • Holy communion is shared and everyone is welcome to receive communion or a blessing. We also have gluten free options, too!
    • You’ll experience the words, lyrics and other parts of the service using the latest multimedia technology
  • Find a place to belong
    • Church is more than a place to worship on Sunday morning or Wednesday evening. It’s a community! There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, including community outreach
  • Encounter people just like you
    • Everyone is welcome here, whatever your story, questions, doubts or struggles.
  • Share when you’re ready
    • We respect the pace at which individual people connect. Members and regular visitors contribute to the vitality of St. John’s community by sharing their time and talents in many areas of ministry.
